Riassunto - L'Italia è stato l'ultimo Paese in Europa ad
aver reso obbligatorio delle cinture di sicurezza: rispetto ad
una media europea dell'80-90%, solo il 20% della popolazione italiana
(valore probabilmente sovrastimato) le indossa abitualmente. Allo
scopo di rilevare l'abitudine all'uso della cintura di sicurezza
anteriore in automobile, è stato somministrato un questionario
a studenti di diverse facoltà presso l'Università
"Tor Vergata" di Roma. Il 30% degli studenti ha dichiarato di
allacciare sempre la cintura quando guida, mentre il 28% non la
indossa mai; fra coloro che la allacciano saltuariamente la maggior
parte (90%) la indossa in autostrada rispetto all'11% che l'allaccia
in città. Pur trovandoci di fronte ad una proporzione di certo
superiore alla media nazionale, questa risulta essere comunque
inadeguata se confrontata con la prevalenza d'uso nelle altre
Nazioni europee.

| Summary
- Italy has been the last European country to pass a mandatory law
concerning the use of seat belts: only 20% of the population (most
probably an overestimated percentage) regularly uses the belts compared
to 80-90% of other European countries. In order to reveal the habit
of using seat belts, questionnaires were distributed to "Tor
Vergata" University students (Rome, Italy). About 30% of the
students declared always lo use seat belts when driving, while 28%
declared never to use them; among those who occasionally wear seat
belt, the majority (90%) wears them on the highway but only 11%
admitted wearing them in the city. Altough thes e percentages are
above the national average, they are, however, inadequate when compared
to other European countries. |
| Résumé
- L'Italie est le dernier pays en Europe qui a rendu obligatoire
l'emploi des ceintures de sécurité en automobile: auprès d'une moyenne
européenne de 80-90%, moins que 20% de la population italienne les
utilise d'habitude. Pour estimer l'habitude de utiliser la ceinture
de sécurité anterieure on a admistré un questionnaire a étudiants
de differentes facultés de l'Université de Rome "Tor Vergata.".
Parmi les étudiants, 30% a declaré d'utiliser toutjours la ceinture
quand il conduit et 28% jamais; parmi ces qui l'utilisent de temps
en temps, la majeure partie (90%) l'utilise en autoroute par rapport
a 11% en ville. Ces données, sans doute superieures à la moyenne
nationale, sont quand mime insuffisantes sans comparaison possible
avec les autres pays eu ropéens. |

Zusammenfassung - Italien war das letzte europäische
Land das die Benützung der Sicherheitsgurte im Auto als obligatorisch
erklärte. Gegenüber dem europäischen Durchschnitt
von 80-90%, nur 20% der Italienischen Bevölkerung (wahrscheinlich
zu hoch eirigeschätzt) benützt gewöhnlich den Sicherheitsgurt.
Um die Gewohnheit des Anschnallens der vorderen Sicherheitsgurte
im Auto besser zu studieren, wurden an die Studenten verschiedener
Fakultäten der römischen Universität 'Tor Vergata"
Fragebögen verteilt. 30% der Studenten erklärte immer
den Sicherheitsgurt im Auto zu benützen, während 28% ihn
nie anzuschnallen behauptete. Unter denjenigen die den Sicherheitsgurt
nur ab und zu benützen, die Mehrheit (90%) schnallt ihn nur
auf der Autobahn an, gegenüber den 11% die ihn in der Stadt
anschnallen. Obwohi in unserem Fall die Werte entschieden aber dem
nationalen Durchschnitt liegen, sind diese trotzdem unzureichend
wenn man sie mit denen anderer europäischer Länder vergleicht.
