Riassunto
La ricerca tratta la somministrazione di un questionario tra gli
studenti dell'ultimo anno di corso degli istituti di istruzione
secondaria superiore della Asl 2 di Potenza, con l'obiettivo di
conoscere la diffusione dell'abitudine al fumo di tabacco, valutare
il livello di conoscenza della problematica e programmare un intervento
di educazione sanitaria.
I risultati ottenuti hanno evidenziato una preoccupante diffusione
dell'abitudine al fumo tra i giovani ed un inizio dell'abitudine
piuttosto precoce. Ciò appare in contraddizione con l'elevato
livello di coscienza circa i danni causati dal fumo. I dati emersi
indicano la necessità di programmare un intervento educativo
sull'argomento diretto agli studenti delle scuole medie inferiori,
rivelatisi i soggetti più a rischio. |
Summary
- Smoke addiction amongst young people: a survey carried out
on a sample of students in the Potenza Health Unit n. 2 (Basilicata
- Italy)
The authors have studied smoke addiction amongst youngsters by distributing
a questionnaire to the last year students of a high school in Potenza
(Health Unit 2). The aim was to appreciate the extent of smoke addiction
so as to devise a programme of health education. The results have
shown an early and widespread smoke addiction amongst young people,
which is quite contradictory if compared with a high level of awareness
of the damages caused by the smoke. Relevant data stress the importance
of a health education program on the matter addressed to the students
of preparatory schools who are the subjects exposed at the highest
risk. |

Resumé
- Le tabagisme chez les jeunes:
une étude menée sur un groupe d'étudiants
dans l'Unité
Sanitaire n° 2 à Potenza (Basilicate - Italie)
Cette étude repose sur le phénomène du tabagisme
parmis les jeunes; les auteurs ont interviewé les étudiants
du dernier cours d'un lycée de Potenza (Unité Sanitaire
2). Le but était d'évaluer l'ampleur de ce phénomène
chez les jeunes afin d'entamer un programme d'éducation
sanitaire. Les résultats ont montré une importante
diffusion du tabagisme, ainsi qu'un début précoce,
chez les jeunes. Cela serait en contradiction avec le haut niveau
de conscience vis à vis des dommages causés par
le tabac. D'après les données, il s'impose d'entamer
un programme d'éducation sanitaire adressé aux étudiants
des écoles secondaires inférieures qui representent
les sujets les plus à risqués.

Zusammenfassung
- Tabakkonsum unter Jugendlichen:
Untersuchungen in einer Schülergruppe der Asl 2 von Potenza
Zum Studium der Verbreitung des Tabakkonsums, des Bewußtseinsgrades
der relativen Problematik und zur Programmierung einer Gesundheitsvorbeugung,
wurde ein Fragebogen unter den Abiturschülern der Asl 2 von
Potenza verteilt. Die Ergebnisse brachten einen besorgniserregenden
Tabakkonsum der Jugendlichen zusammen mit einer ziemlich frühreifen
Entwicklung zur Gewohnheit ans Licht. Das Ganze erscheint im krassen
Gegensatz zu ihrem genauen Bewußtsein der Gefahr des Rauchens
für die Gesundheit. Die Notwendigkeit zur Organisation eines
gezielten Erziehungsprogrammes zu diesem Argument ergiebt sich
an Hand der Ergebnisse, ganz besonders für die am meisten
gefährdeten Schüler im Mittelschulalter oder sogar schon
früher.
